“My objective when I joined Chix in Business was to increase my contacts and hopefully the revenue at my new venture” says Jan Green of SOHO HERO. “Although I have worked with only a handful of fellow Chix, I have gained from the sharing of knowledge and experience by other members and the professional speakers presented at our luncheons.”

Triangle’s Chix in Business will be hosting their 2nd annual Anniversary Party on Wednesday, April 16th at The Royal in Raleigh. Over 150 people are expected to attend. A silent auction will be held to benefit the YWCA (Young Woman’s Christian Association). Attendance is open to the public, and the fee is $15.00. Chix in Business, Inc. is a non-profit Triangle-area community of passionate women business owners who support and educate each other through building personal and business relationships, information sharing, seminars, mentoring and community outreach.

The YWCA is a women’s membership movement nourished by its roots in the Christian faith and sustained by the richness of many beliefs and values. Strengthened by diversity, the YWCA draws together members who strive to create opportunities for women’s growth, leadership, and power in order to attain a common vision: peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all people. The YWCA will thrust its collective power toward the elimination of racism and sexism, wherever it exists, and by any means necessary.

Chix member Paige Tharrington, Licensed Professional Counselor of “Helping You Find Your Way” comments, “We are very excited about working closely with the YWCA this year because the services they provide so closely match the mission of Chix in Business. We are hoping the silent auction is a big success so the funds we donate can truly make a difference.”
